Malibu Creek Crayfish Removal

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday you can join Sierra Pacific Fly Fishers, Mountains Restoration Trust, and the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission to remove crayfish from Malibu Creek. The non-native, invasive crayfish eat native amphibians and fish, wrecking havoc on the creek`s ecosystem. Volunteers have removed over 11,000 crayfish from the creek!

Be prepared to get muddy and have fun!

Typically, MRT and volunteers work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. We typically meet at the dirt corner "parking lot" of Piuma Road and Malibu Canyon Road ( Click here for map location ). Please confirm the time and meeting location.

Please note: Work may be cancelled due to reasons such as rain.
