Mission

Mission Statement:  Mountains Restoration Trust (MRT) is committed to working in partnership with the community to preserve, protect, and enhance the natural resources of the Santa Monica Mountains for the benefit of the environment and for present and future generations through land acquisition and conservation easements;  habitat preservation and restoration;  and research and education.

The Challenge: Through its different programs, MRT helps people understand that the health of the environment directly impacts the health of its inhabitants.  Stewardship of our natural resources means to be in harmony, not in competition with, the natural resources of the land.  What we do today needs to take into consideration generations to come.
